Frequently Asked Questions

How can I submit my application?

Applications can be submitted in person, by postal or other carrier service, by email or by fax. However, it must arrive by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 5, 2010.

How many copies of my application are needed?

Seven copies of the paperwork are needed for the purposes of review.

How many copies of the work sample are needed?

One copy of the work sample on a disk or reference to the website where the sample can be found is required.

What is required for a complete application?

See the application checklist for a list of requirements.
 
What if I am missing a part of my application?

  • At least some portion of the application must be received by the deadline in order to be eligible for consideration.

  • Incomplete applications will be accepted.

  • Late applications will NOT be accepted.

Do I need to submit payment for the seminar with my application?

No. Billing for the seminar will be handled once the applicant has been accepted for the seminar.
 
Do I have to pay the whole amount for the seminar up front?

No. There are various ways of handling payment, including plans that break up the fee over the course of the seminar. KC ArtistLink will be in touch with that information once the seminar participants have been determined.
 
When will the panel meet?

The advisory panel for this application process is scheduled to meet Monday, December 6, 2010. Specific information in this regard will be emailed to applicants a week before the meeting.
 
Who are the panelists?

Kansas Arts Commission panels always consist of one to two KAC Commissioners, along with other experts from the field. The specific individuals for this panel will be determined after the review of applications is complete. This will ensure that the panelists have some expertise or authority regarding the kind of work included in the applications.
 
When will applicants be notified of their status with respect to their participation in the seminar?

Christine will be in touch with applicants regarding the status of their applications the week of November 8–12.

Applicants will be notified if they have been accepted into the program in mid-December.
