Americans for the Arts has conducted an economic impact study of the arts statewide.
Within the last several years, Americans for the Arts has completed
five studies of the impact of the arts in Kansas communities: Junction City, Lawrence,
Metropolitan Kansas City, Salina and Sedgwick County.
Junction City, Kansas - population 18,886 (2008):
Nonprofit arts is a $7.5 million industry.
The nonprofit arts support 143 full-time equivalent jobs:

Delivering $167,000 in local government revenue and $185,000 in state government revenue
Salina, Kansas - population 45,676 (2005):
Nonprofit arts generated over $23.7 million in local economic activity

Nonprofit arts generated over $49.1 million in local economic
