Step 2: Selection Process and Criteria
Award recipients will be selected by a panel that includes Kansas Arts Commissioners, a representative of the Governor and representatives from various arts disciplines and organizations. At the discretion of the panel, more than one award in a category may be given or the panel may select the top scoring nominations regardless of category. The panel may decide not to award in every category if the final score does not merit an award. Panelists are instructed to score on the content in the nomination packet only, not on any prior knowledge of the nominee. The criteria the panel will use to rank and select awards are worth a total of 25 points.
The selection panel will meet in November 9, 2010.
