The Kansas Arts Commission recognizes the vital roles that local organizations play in our Kansas communities. Many non-arts cultural organizations, public agencies and social service organizations are committed to making the arts accessible to the people who live in their areas. We honor and value that unique commitment through our Arts-in-Communities Project Grants.
This program now promotes cooperation between and among communities for arts projects and programming such as tours and community development.
This is a competitive grant and funding is determined by an advisory panel. Grants are project-based and are not for general operating expenses.
For smaller or less competitive projects, non-arts organizations may consider the Arts-in-Communities Project Mini-Grants. In that program, up to $2,000 may be awarded through a non-competitive process.
