The Kansas Arts Commission is committed to supporting outstanding programs in arts education: programs that enable young people to explore and experience the arts in both broad and focused ways. While we believe that every classroom educator should be able to teach about the arts, we recognize the vital and very powerful role that artists have in education.
The Arts-in-Education Grant Programs of the Kansas Arts Commission nurture the integration of the arts in classrooms, community settings, pre-schools and institutions. Through these grants, we support programs that are
innovative, responsive to children, community and classroom needs, and that utilize proven methods of learning and evaluation.
The Kansas Arts Commission offers three arts-in-education grant programs: Arts-in-Education Grants for Arts Organizations, Arts-Based Early Education and Arts Education for Youth-At-Risk. All three support Kansas communities and arts organizations to bring the arts to our youngest citizens. These grants are competitive, and funding is determined by advisory panels.
