Cooperative Agreements

The application deadline for Cooperative Agreement Grants has passed. Revised guidelines for fiscal year 2010 will be available January 5, 2009, and the deadline to receive applications is April 9, 2009. Grant workshops will be held in January 2009.

In order to achieve this mission, the Kansas Arts Commission offers services to the arts and arts management field in Kansas. Some of those services are provided by outside organizations that enter into a contractual partnership with the Kansas Arts Commission.

Cooperative Agreements provide nonprofits and other government agencies the opportunity to partner with the Commission to offer professional development, training and consulting opportunities for artists, arts and cultural managers, staff and volunteers.

Cooperative agreements are generally between $5,000 and $10,000 and are matched 1:1 by the organization or agency partner. These partners provide a service that is recognized by the Kansas Arts Commission as responding to needs of arts and cultural organizations in the state. Partners provide programs that are in alignment with the Kansas Arts Commission’s strategic plan.
