Partnership Agreement Grant Program Guidelines
Step 4: Application Review Process
Once submitted, Partnership Agreement Applications are screened by Kansas Arts Commission staff to determine eligibility. Staff will notify applicants if their application is eligible for further consideration. No rewrites, changes or additions will be accepted once the application is submitted.
Selection of Proposals
The Kansas Arts Commission will select organizations or agencies with which to partner on proposed projects based on:
1. |
The priority for the program or project as delineated in the goals, objectives and action plans listed in the Kansas Arts Commission’s Strategic Plan 2007-2012 and in this partnership program; |
2. |
The proposed implementation plan of the program or project; |
3. |
The proposed evaluation plan of the program or project; |
4. |
If the proposed budget is realistic and reasonable; |
5. |
The organization’s or agency’s qualifications and ability to successfully implement the program or project; |
6. |
The ability of the Kansas Arts Commission to implement its anticipated responsibilities as proposed by the organization or agency. |
Proposals will first be reviewed by the executive director, then by the commissioners, and will be prioritized and ranked. When deciding which proposals to fund, the Commission considers its own priorities, the ranking of proposals and the availability of funds.
Notification and Payment of Award
Partnership Agreements will be approved or denied by the Kansas Arts Commission at the June 2011 Commission meeting. Organizations or agencies under consideration will receive notification of Fiscal Year 2012 grant awards by mail after July 1, 2011.
The Kansas Arts Commission will issue a Grant Contract to funded entities that includes specific stipulations for this particular project. In most cases, grantees will receive payment in two installments: one at the beginning of the granting period; another after the conclusion of the project and once all outstanding reports have been received and have been approved by the Kansas Arts Commission.
