Kansas Arts on Tour Roster - Traditional and Acoustic Music Ensembles

Moreland & Arbuckle

Moreland & Arbuckle

This award winning duo began performing together in early 2002 and quickly was recognized as an authentic and innovate act. Drawn together by a deep appreciation for roots music, Moreland & Arbuckle have forged a path of success with national and international critical acclaim touring throughout the U.S. and parts of Europe. Finalists in the 21st Annual International Blues Competition, the acoustic guitar/harmonica duo serves up fine country blues with a raw edge. Not only are they keeping a strong blues tradition alive, but they are pushing the cornerstone of traditional music to new generation.

Aaron Moreland plays National guitars and parlor style acoustic guitar. Dustin Arbuckle is the main vocalist who plays harmonica.

Program Descriptions

Moreland & Arbuckle perform at festivals, concerts, community events, churches, and coffee houses. Concerts run one to two hours and go from front porch foot stompin' to sweet slow ballads. The duo perfoms traditional acoustic blues standards and original compositions. Shows are designed for all ages and audiences learn what pre-war blues music sounded like before the invention of radio and recorded music. Historical commentary with humor keeps all ages attentive. Workshops can be geared for all ages and include a historical perspective on the origin of blues and roots music.
