The Villigans

The Villigans

The Villigans feature 12-year-old Luke Craver holding the title of Mid-Atlantic and Maryland State Banjo for his early American playing style. The Villigans perform captivating jigs, reels, hornpipes, and stunning vocal pieces on the fiddle, whistle, drums, mandolin, banjo and guitar. The group explores music from the 1600’s and 1700’s. The Villigans’ Shawn Craver spent 20 years studying music in the Appalachian Mountains and is hailed as “a genuine carrier of the Appalachian music tradition.”
