Queen Bey is Kansas City’s Ambassador of Jazz. An extraordinarly gifted jazz and blues singer, Queen Bey has performed in theatre, television and film. Her performances are an intimate conversation between friends.

Program Descriptions

Queen Bey’s performances include a new one-woman show, “Bessie,” based upon the life of Bessie Smith. In “Live from the Orchid Room,” she recalls her teenage years backstage with Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald and Sara Vaughn.

Performances range in length from one to two hours. Her workshops and residencies on jazz, blues, theatre, television and film focus on self-esteem. Queen works with students of all ages. A complete list of reviews and other information can be found at www.queenbey.com.

Performance Fees
  • 1-hour performance: $3,000 ($5,000 for Queen and a jazz band)
  • 2-hour performance: $5,000
  • 2-hour performance: $7,000 (for Queen and a jazz band)
  • 45-minute school performance: $1,500
  • Week-long residency: $5,000
  • Fees do not include lodging and transportation.
Technical Requirements
  • A sound system, microphones, monitors and piano are required.
