Storyteller Rosie Cutrer Uses words, old time banjo music and audience participation to gain attention and delight from audiences of all ages. Rosie holds degrees in theatre and education, making her well equipped to entertain and educate.

Program Descriptions

Program lengths: 35-60 minutes depending on age groups

  • Books Alive!: Great for award assemblies, American Education Week, Read Week, Book Week, etc. Rosie tells stories based on books. Kids help act out one of the stories. One of the books performed will be donated to your library.
  • After School Jamboree: Programs for after-school care groups Special discounted rates offered if you book at least two to three performances during the year.
  • Folktales and Music from the Kansas Pioneers: Good for fall festivals. Some pioneer artifacts included.
  • Animal Tales: Animal stories from many lands. Earth day or pet theme friendly.
  • Something Ghostly This Way Comes: Ghost Stories & just plain creepy stories & songs for all ages. Rosie knows how to tone it down for those younger audiences (she taught first grade for 20 years).
  • For Grownups Only: Folktales, stories from literature & original works for the more mature taste.
  • Irish Folktales and Music: Stories & legends from the Emerald Isle.
  • The Strange But True Tales of Troubled Cockroaches: Designed especially for the public libraries summer reading theme.

Performance Fees
  • One Program: $200
  • Two Programs (half-day): $300
  • Four Programs: $350-$400
  • Week-Long Residency: $1,700
  • Costumed Pioneer Programs: $300-$500
Travel Expenses
  • $ .48 cents per mile (free in 30 mile radius of Topeka)
