Topeka Kansas’ Silent Film Festival is on the road! The festivals seeks to spark interest in the era of classic silent films, their connections to Kansas and to present music composed for these films. This is an educational and entertainment experience for children and adults.

Program Descriptions

Films are presented in small communities accompanied by the five-member Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra, the resident orchestra for the Kansas Silent Film Festival, or Dr. Marvin Faulwell, the resident organist of the KSFF. Performances are available around the dates of the Kansas Silent Film Festival on the last weekend in February and the last weekend in September. Educational components include introductions and follow-up for each film as well as printed program material. (approximately two hours)
