FREE Cultural Access Services
For Arts Organizations

Accessible Arts, Inc., Kansas’s nonprofit organization that specializes in the arts for people with disabilities, offers free Cultural Access Services to Kansas arts organizations.

Cultural Access Services will help you:

  • Increase your profits by expanding your audience.
  • Make your arts events accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
  • Continue to reach “Baby Boomers” as they age.
  • Protect your organizations assets and reputation.

All services are underwritten by the Kansas Arts Commission and VSA arts.

Choose from the following programs...

Accessibility Surveys

  • An in-depth report on the accessibility of your venue based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Upon survey completion, your venue will be listed on the Accessible Arts website as a surveyed facility.

One-on-One Program Consultation

  • An expert consultant will help you make your programming more accessible to people of all abilities.
  • Learn best practices, universal design and adaptations.
  • Receive the Design for Accessibility handbook (a $21 value).

Staff and Volunteer Training

  • Customized to fit your needs.
  • Programs include universal-design training, disability awareness for ushers or docents and accessibility program training for teaching artists.
