Kansas Arts on Tour Roster
Step 4: Application Evaluation Criteria
The advisory panel reviews the applications according to the following criteria:
Artistic Merit: up to 20 points
Artists must demonstrate quality through their work samples and other documentation.
Specific indicators of artistic merit include:

10 points: Technical proficiency in the artist's discipline and cultural authenticity, if applicable (i.e., a work representing a specific culture must accurately reflect the culture and place that work in context)

10 points: Professional presentation and staging, as applicable
Educational Value: up to 10 points (when applicable)
Artists must demonstrate that they are capable of teaching this skill to others and that the educational format is appropriate.
Specific indicators of educational value include:
Touring Readiness (up to 10 points)
Artists must demonstrate that they have adequate management resources and are available to tour.
Specific indicators of touring readiness include:

4 points: History of touring and presenter evaluations of previous Arts on Tour program engagements, if applicable

4 points: Quality of promotional materials used for marketing to presenters, as well as those made available for presenters to use in promoting their events

2 points: Ability to fulfill contractual obligations
Applicants will be scored based upon the criteria for which they are eligible. Only those applicants who score 75% of the total applicable points possible will be appointed to the Roster. |
