Step 6: Application Materials and Checklist

Drafts of applications will be reviewed by the program manager through Thursday, September 2, 2010. If submitting a draft, write "DRAFT" on all documents. Review by Commission staff does not guarantee a favorable panel review.

All information submitted with applications becomes part of the public record and will be made available to the public upon request. In order to protect your samples and/or other written information, copyright your work and use the copyright symbol accordingly.

Applications must be computer generated using 12-point Times New Roman font and 1" margins. Handwritten applications are not eligible for consideration.

All artists must submit seven complete, collated copies in this order (do not staple):

Program Narrative:

Please entitle this page “Program Narrative for [insert your name here]”.  Limit two pages, use only 12-point Times New Roman Font with 1” margins.

Briefly describe the proposed Roster program including:

  • Running time

  • Target audience

  • Program fees

  • Technical requirements

Artist's standard contract including any addenda and/or riders (e.g. staging technical requirements)

Two letters of support from presenters; letters may be no older than three years

Artist's website address and/or marketing and press kits, which typically include some or all of the following:

  • Artist biography and/or company history

  • Description of repertoire

  • Description of residency activities

  • Locally adaptable press releases

  • High contrast b&w or color photographs

  • Flyers, handbills or posters

  • Reviews and press quotes

  • Additional letters of support

  • Study guides
